Kate joined the Board in early 2024, driven by a strong commitment to community and a passion for making a tangible difference through our Grants Program.
A long-time visitor to Apollo Bay for more than 20 years, Kate realised a long-held dream in 2021 when she purchased her own place in the area.
“I love the charm of Apollo Bay – the pristine environment and the spectacular meeting of mountains and sea. But it’s the small community of friends and colleagues that truly makes it special for me,” she says.
Kate brings deep expertise in health and community services to the Foundation. She is the Executive Director of Deakin University’s Institute for Health Transformation and also serves on the Board of Meli, a leading community services organisation.
Joining the Apollo Bay & District Health Foundation is Kate’s way of staying connected and giving back to a community she has grown to love — supporting local health and wellbeing for generations to come.
